SSC CGL Exam Pattern for Tier 1 and Tier 2 (Revised)

SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam Pattern

  • SSC CGL Tier 1 will consist of Objective Type, Multiple choice questions.
  • The questions will be set both in English & Hindi except for English Comprehension.
  • There will be a negative marking of 0.50 (¼) for each wrong answer.

Here is the SSC CGL Exam Pattern for the Tier 1 exam:

SSC CGL Tier 2 Exam Pattern

SSC CGL Tier 2 will consist of Objective Type, Multiple choice questions except for DEST(Data Entry Speed Test) Test. Candidates eligible for scribe will get an extra 20 minutes for 1 hour time.

  • Paper 1 is compulsory for all posts.
  • Paper 2 is for only JSO Post.
  • Paper 3 is for only Assistant Account Officer and Assistant Audit officer.

There will be a negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer in Section-I, Section-II and Module-I of Section-III of Paper-I and of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer in Paper-II and Paper-III.
